Eruption is a band that hails from Ljubljana, Slovenia and is as powerful as their name suggests. We recently obtained their newest release “Cloaks of Oblivion” and highlighted them on our internet radio show and they were an explosive hit immediately. With tracks like “Sanity Ascends” and “The Yearning”, Eruption comes in with break neck speed and power. This album is truly a great story book told in music form. It nails the emotions with in your face Power Thrash and amazing Riffs and vocals.

When we spoke with the lead vocalist, Klemen; he advised us that some of the tracks on this disc actually are a referral to the story and tie into their previous albums and EP’s. This gave us an insight to his writing and story telling that was most interesting. We entered a world where religion corrupts and evil futuristic forces are wanting to blind humanity and kill the planet by deceit. But these are OUR interpretations. Once again, Power metal telling an amazing story with imagination and thoughtful introspection.
Every song is like riding a guitar string of emotion like a roller coaster and the drums and bass are driving the car. The riffs are fucking amazing and Klemen’s vocal range is crushing. A great production that was very tight. Very talented Musicians; Klemens on vocals, Andrej on guitars, Nika on Bass and Ivan on drums; Eruption exploded into our speakers like Vesuvius. It is a serious onslaught of beefy thrash. We could probably write a book about what we loved about the tracks but to be brief and pointed, you really need to pick up this disc and listen for yourself. It is well worth it.
